The Details

Join the bean team! 6 lbs of beans selected and shared with you each of the four seasons. All beans are grown on farms here in the Finger Lakes of NY. Check out our farmer page to learn more about us. 

Your subscription is billed seasonally (4 times per year) prior to each shipment.

Bean Share Member Price: $40 per seasonal box, plus shipping 

A la Carte Price: $45 per seasonal box, plus shipping (one time purchase)

What you get:

• Four seasonal shipments: December, March, June, and September. Your first share will be in December 2026 (after the 2026 harvest!)
  
• Cancel or skip shipments, or just buy an a la carte seasonal box (though you don't get the member price that way)
  
• 6 one pound bags of beans, lovingly grown, cleaned and curated by the Buttermilk bean team
• Varieties range from pantry staples to uncommon heirlooms, each with unique cooking qualities to discover.
  

Worried you might get too much leguminous goodness to handle? Properly harvested and dried beans (like ours!) stay fresh and tasty in your pantry for at least a year. Our retail-style bean bags make great gifts as well.

You will also receive fun varietal lore, cooking tips and more via a seasonal bean dispatch - we are serious bean nerds and love to swap bean stories and favorite recipes!

Payment

Membership is not confirmed until payment is received (by credit card or check).

We appreciate you paying by check and keeping currency local! To do so, select the 'pay by check' option at check out and follow instructions.

Note: if you are a Shop Pay user you may need to click "Check out as Guest" in order to access the Pay by Check option.

Shipping

Scheduled ship dates are December, March, June, and September.

Despite what the estimated ship time is at checkout, your boxes will ship on this schedule. If you join the CSA or purchase an a la carte box between two ship dates, you will receive your first shipment on the next scheduled date.
